Public Relations Committee

This committee should develop and implement plans to achieve greater public image, provide information about Rotary within the club and the community and promote club service projects and activities.

Goals:

Increase visibility and understanding of Rotary and specifically Cheshire Rotary within the club and community at large.

Improve club web site as a communication tool

Responsibilities:

Publish at minimum of one press release per month and more photos

Use Public Access channel 15 to promote Rotary public events

Create a Cheshire Rotary display board showing where Rotary donations go

Conduct public relations efforts for all service projects

Ensure that club is represented at public community events such as Memorial Day Parade and Cheshire Fall Festival.

Promote Rotary at Cheshire Public Library ie:  Rotary Birthday book display

Distribute past issues of Rotarian magazine at business reception areas with info attached about Cheshire Rotary.

Develop club facts/trivia for internal and external use

Promote use of club website to inform members; use as a tag line on all press releases

Add member photos to club web site.  Link to member web sites and other town sites
