THANKSGIVING DINNER DRIVE |

A $1300 Thanksgiving check was presented from the Cheshire Rotary and Liberty Bank to Kristen Schechter, Cheshire Social Services on November 25, 2008. The 22 Rotary clubs participating raised a total of $73,204.76. With $20,000 in matching funds from the Liberty Bank Foundation, a grand total of $93,402.76 was raised!! |

Thanks to Leo Lavallee-and Jim McGregor-Rotary paraded. Leo commandeered his wife Terri’s brand new convertible. 45 pounds of hard candies were distributed parade route. Riders: Lavallee, Miller, Masi (Lavallee’s grand-daughter) and Caitlan Evans. Walkers: Gordon, McGregor (event Chairman), Evans, Ciaburri, Bengtson. Hakim, Fallon and Mark Eckert. The Rotary contingent was the largest in recent years. It was estimated that more than 5000 townspeople watched. |
