The Rotary Club of Cheshire recently presented Cheshire Human Services with donations raised from the annual Thanksgiving fundraiser held in conjunction with Liberty Bank and the December bell-ringing fundraisers outside Stop & Shop. A total of over $6400 was given to Cheshire’s Department of Human Services as the results of Cheshire Rotary’s effort and the support of our community. Rotary thanks all those who supported this community service effort!

Every year, Liberty Bank works with Rotary Clubs throughout Connecticut to raise funds to help those in need in the local community. This year, $1,221 was raised in Cheshire, with Rotarian Mary Malin serving as Cheshire Rotary’s coordinator with Liberty Bank. The Cheshire Rotary also rings in the holidays by raising money to be used locally on two December Saturdays. This money is matched by the Cheshire Rotary Club, for a total this year, with added support from Wallingford Rotarian Craig Fishbein, of an additional $5,180.

Checks were presented to Kristen Schechter of Cheshire Human Services.
